Auction vehicle pickup

From the auction yard to your customer or dealership

Buying at Copart, IAA or another auto auction? Share the exact yard where the vehicle is stored, including any offsite pickup address. The selling branch and the physical vehicle location may differ. We review the route, release requirements and vehicle condition before coordinating collection with a carrier.

We provide independent transport coordination. Auction names identify pickup locations; they do not imply an affiliation or endorsement.

What we need to plan pickup

  • Auction name, yard address, lot or stock number and vehicle year, make and model.
  • Delivery address or ZIP code and the receiving person’s contact details.
  • Confirmation that payment has cleared and the vehicle is available for release.
  • The auction’s pickup authorization, appointment instructions and storage deadline.
  • Vehicle condition: whether it starts, rolls, steers and brakes, whether keys are available, and any damage or loading restrictions.

Provide release documents through the agreed booking contact method. Do not share your auction account password.

Release and appointment requirements

Each auction controls its own release process. Copart requires a pickup appointment and provides transporter scheduling tools. IAA also provides scheduling tools for transporters. Confirm the current instructions for the specific yard before collection.

Review the auction’s storage deadline early. A quote request or a planned pickup does not suspend storage charges, and collection depends on release approval, an available appointment and the right carrier equipment.

Running and non-running auction vehicles

Tell us about the actual loading condition before booking. A sale listing alone may not describe everything a driver needs to know. For damaged vehicles, describe missing wheels, locked steering, leaks or loose parts and provide available photos. The carrier must confirm that the vehicle can be loaded safely with suitable equipment.

How much does auction car shipping cost?

Pricing depends on the route, vehicle dimensions, running condition, loading needs and schedule. Ask what the transport quote includes and which auction, storage or loading charges are separate. For several vehicles, send the full list and all pickup locations.

Delivery and inspection

Arrange for an authorized person to receive the vehicle. Review the pickup condition report, inspect the car at delivery and record any concerns before signing. Keep the auction listing, available photos and transport paperwork together.
