When to consider enclosed car shipping
An enclosed trailer provides a covered space for the vehicle during transport. It is worth discussing when exterior protection and loading arrangements are priorities, particularly for a restored classic, a collectible or a car with low ground clearance.
Enclosed transport is not a substitute for checking the assigned equipment and shipment terms. Explain what makes your vehicle different so the transport plan can account for it.
Loading details that matter
- Ground clearance at the front, rear and underside of the vehicle.
- Body kits, splitters, spoilers and modified suspension.
- Overall width and height, including wide tires and accessories.
- Whether the vehicle starts, rolls, steers and brakes.
- Any special starting, parking or alarm instructions.

What to confirm before booking

Pickup and delivery inspection
Photograph the car before collection and record its existing condition with the driver. Remove loose items and confirm the carrier’s policy before leaving belongings inside. Keep the pickup condition report for comparison at delivery.
At arrival, inspect the vehicle before signing and record any concerns on the delivery paperwork. If another person receives the car, make sure they know the inspection arrangements and have the relevant contact details.

Does enclosed transport mean my car has a private trailer?
Enclosed describes a covered trailer; it does not by itself mean exclusive use. If you need a dedicated trailer, want several vehicles to travel together or have restrictions on handling, include that in your request. Confirm the assigned equipment and any special arrangements in the written booking details.
What should I tell you about a classic or modified vehicle?
Share photos of low bodywork, the lowest clearance measurement, overall dimensions and any unusual starting or parking procedure. Tell us about loose parts or a vehicle that cannot be moved normally.
